At the beginning of class I didn't even knew what the meaning for humanities was but as the class comes to an end in a try believer and have very but very optimistic view of what technology might have for the future I believe that the scientist are working for better of humanity but at what price don't know but I think that the outcome might overcome any obstacle that we might face in the future.humanity don't know but I know something click inside of and I have notice that I want to put my part in world my helping other not eating so much around me etc.the class expose me to book literature that I have never seen or heard and I truly believed that if it was for this class I would have not know about the world's fair in flushing that'll never have know I have live in queens for 20 years and to think that the borough I live could have been the beginning of pollution or better yet suburbia amazing the things I learned has expand my view of the world and I share what I learn to the students I work with so I think this class was amazing

Before I took this class I never New that the actual finder of the DNA structure was a woman.the .majority of the big event in history in my opinion.the way Rosalind Franklin devoted her life to science is admirable not only did she most likely die due to her extensive work with all picture taking machine that mostly likely gave her cancer .she did completely the opposite to what most her women in her time did that was to get married and have children I could only imagine the amount of ridicule she most have past in order to achieve her dream of proving to the world's what she had found but unfortunately that was never happen because her work was given to other scientists that stole her project this amount of information has change my view ? Just imagine how many more other scientist specially women have been taking away the recognition.

lib 200 blog #4 the promise or peril of robots in film?

depending on timing of the film and many other factor as i started to think about all the movies i have watch that robots are either the main character or a very big part of the movie they make seem as   the human helpers or the ones out to get the human but in those specific case they always make the human seem like they input all the bad feeling or bad intention put into their heads by a bad person. for example i just recently saw the movie wall-e  which is a robot that is looking for its friend in this remote place and it seems harmless to any other human being around him that movie made me cry because it was so sentimental. another great movie was I-robot but in this case the main character is a police officer and the robots are the criminal minds Thur out the movie ,but the majority of the movie the rest of the human don't believe the officer when he accuse the robots of being a danger to society. so really the way robots are portrait could be either good or bad depending on the story of the movie and the producer.

blog 3 my research paper topic

I will be doing my research paper in the topic offer by you which is the portraying of robots in film. In my research paper i want to show the difference in the decade in TV and movie and the changes that the robots have made Thur out the years. In the 80s i used to watched a show called the "the jetsons" the show was based on a family that lived in the late 2000 it was basically in the future were the cars flew around the city and everything in their house was done by computers.one of the characters was a robot who was the maid of the house and took care of the whole family she cook,she clean and did all the chores this portrait of a robot was convincing in that time.Fast forward to 2013 the show was cancel and the view of robots in my opinion was that a robot in the future will help all of the housewives around the world. Or better yet that the future will be easier to handle all of your daily duties.Forward to 2011 when the movie Irobot came out the robots were portrait in a different way. At the beginning of the movie you could see the interaction of human and robot as normal robots were being mass produce to help the human in their every day live. But the detective saw evil in one of the robots but the resets of society will not believe that a perfect machine could go bad it against its inventor

does popular science awe us or theaten us.

i had to google what was popular science and what i read and understood is the advertisement that cell phones companies and Internet companies  and other show us to try to sell to us and specially the new generation of kids that all they do is be on their phone. so much innovation i believe may be harmful to society itself all people are doing to be in the latest trend of technology and sometimes depriving themselves of everyday live necessities just to  be able to be in the trend of what just came out. i know people that have been evicted out of there homes because they had decided to take the rent money i purchased the newest Ipod or smart phone even thought the ones they have still works.
How much technology its good for one person if all we do all day everyday is be at our phones or ipad constantly trying to figure something out. there no looking up words in the dictionary there no text book being use is just the word google that comes in to mind. a very good a example of a harmful effect is the teenager can read clocks there no need for it because they have their phones. what would our society look like in 25 years.
and in the other hand the good site of it could be to helpful to medicine the more technology moves up more thing could be explore to be useful in our health aspect. machines are helping to develop things that the human mind would have never been able to reach. we are expending our lands exploring the oceans floors and going to the moon and doing great things.

Am i a Humanism or a Science

i believe im a little bit of both im a humanism in the part  of were i believe in other human in the ability to love one another and the ability to change the world with the movement of humanity put together. if we as the world get together maybe this world will be as bad. Like an old saying says you need a village to raise a child.My science part could be as the beauty of being a mother the actual magic of having child a being that has grown inside of you and you as the mother come out of it like nothing.Itself explanatory im a proud mom of an 11 month old baby boy which i love the beauty of the technology that show  me my newborn before he was even here i have a sonogram picture were it show my babys features so details and after he was born i see his profile and its the same that part of science i love.
